Embodiments of the present invention provide a cloud management platform, a virtual machine management method and system thereof. The virtual machine management method comprises: a first cloud management platform obtains configuration information of a stock virtual machine from a second cloud management platform, wherein the first cloud management platform and the second cloud management platform are cloud management platforms of different types; the second cloud management platform locally creates a proxy virtual machine according to the configuration information of the stock virtual machine and generates a proxy virtual machine identifier, wherein the proxy virtual machine identifier is used for identifying the proxy virtual machine created on the first cloud management platform; the first cloud management platform sends the proxy virtual machine identifier to the second cloud management platform; the second cloud management platform updates the identifier of the stock virtual machine recorded on its own into the proxy virtual machine identifier. By means of the method, cross-platform automated management of virtual machines can be supported.
