Provided are a contrast ratio improvement optical film, a polarizing plate comprising the same, and an optical display apparatus comprising the same. The contrast ratio improvement optical film comprises: a contrast ratio improvement layer; and at least one of an antireflection layer and an antiglare layer, which are directly formed on the contrast ratio improvement layer, wherein the contrast ratio improvement layer includes a first resin layer, and a second resin layer facing the first resin layer. The second resin layer includes a pattern portion including optical patterns, and a flat portion between the optical patterns, wherein each of the optical patterns has a basic angle (θ) of about 55° to about 90° and the pattern portion satisfies formula 1. The second resin layer is formed of a composite for a second resin layer, which contains at least one of a curable compound having a high refractive index, and zirconium oxide, wherein the curable compound having a high refractive index comprises: a fluorene-based compound; a mixture of a thiol-based compound and a polyene-based compound; or a combination thereof.
