The present invention relates to a method for improving separation performance of a separation membrane system recovering carbon dioxide in combustion gas, and a device therefor comprising: a front end gas separation unit; and a rear end gas separation unit. A rear end compressor is continuously operated by a pressure control device further contained in the rear end gas separation unit to prevent degradation of carbon dioxide separation efficiency of the front end gas separation unit in order to improve separation performance of the separation membrane system.
