The present invention provides a method for treating ophthalmic diseases in such a subject, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of an extract of Taiwan Propolis (TP) or an active ingredient thereof. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition for treating an ophthalmic disorder comprising an effective amount of an extract of TP or an active ingredient thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
