According to the present invention, an online identity authentication system using a real card and a method thereof are disclosed. According to the present invention, a mobile financial transaction using a smartphone enables a user to authenticate an identity by using a real bank card, thereby performing a financial transaction like performing in an ATM device of an offline bank without additionally storing a certificate. Therefore, the security can be maintained while an online financial transaction is more conveniently performed, and the safe payment can be performed as well without a concern of hacking since credit card information is transmitted by reading the real bank card in a card reader unit in the identity authentication.
