The present invention relates to a novel PMMA foam and its manufacture. In this case, the formulations used in the preparation comprise, inter alia, and in most cases low concentrations of crosslinking and conditioning agents in addition to the foaming agents suitable as constituents of the formulation. Surprisingly, it has been found, according to the present invention, that a stable and simple to manufacture PMMA foam with very good properties can be obtained.
