A method for generating a medical word association rule is disclosed. The method for generating a medical word association rule according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: generating a plurality of transactions using a plurality of medical words extracted from a plurality of medical record documents; calculating a significance index for each of the plurality of medical words based on the total number of medical record documents, the frequency of each of the medical words in a specific medical record document, and the number of medical record documents including the medical words, respectively; generating a frequent pattern tree by reconstructing the plurality of transactions based on the significance index; and generating an association rule between the plurality of medical words based on the frequent pattern tree. Accordingly, the present invention can help medical professionals make decisions.
