The present invention relates to a method of diagnosing a degree of marbling in Korean cows by using a DNA marker of a keratin-associated protein gene. By discovering a DNA molecular marker related to a degree of marbling for making an early prediction and diagnosis of genetic attributes in Korean cows with superior degree of marbling, the present invention provides a genetic testing method which can be used to improve accuracy in early selection of high-quality Korean cows and assessment of the individual animal by using the DNA marker. Specifically, the present invention provides a diagnosis method which detects SNP markers according to SNP genotypes of individual Korean cows via PCR-RFLP by using a specific SNP present in the keratin-associated protein 10-6 gene of Korean cow LOC515676, and determines individuals having the AA genotype as individuals having genetically superior degree of marbling compared to other individuals having AG and CC genotypes.
