Disclosed are a diagnostic primer set for detecting bacteria, a diagnostic kit for detecting bacteria, and a diagnostic method for detecting bacteria by using the same, which select specific genes contained in each bacteria through PCR profiling of each bacterial strain with respect to pathogenic genes, insecticidal genes, antifungal-related genes, antibacterial-related genes, low temperature-resistant genes, enterotoxin genes, emetic toxin production-related genes, etc., contained in major bacteria in the Bacillus cereus group; and distinguish Bacillus cereus and Bacillus thuringiensis by using primers and reaction conditions for multiplex PCR for the selected genes. The present invention provides a diagnostic primer set for detecting bacteria to distinguish Bacillus cereus and Bacillus thuringiensis, which comprises: a primer pair for amplifying the motB gene of Bacillus thuringiensis and Bacillus cereus; and a primer pair for amplifying the zmaR gene of Bacillus thuringiensis.
