The present invention relates to [C_60] fullerene nanowhiskers-Nb_2O_5 nanocomposites having photocatalytic activity which can be used to decompose organic dye contaminants in dye wastewater; and a synthesis method of the same. The [C_60] fullerene nanowhiskers-Nb_2O_5 nanocomposites according to the present invention are synthesized by thoroughly mixing Nb_2O_5 nanoparticles and [C_60] fullerene nanowhiskers with tetrahydrofuran (THF), drying the mixture, and calcining the same in an electric furnace in an argon atmosphere, and may be used as a photocatalyst for decomposing organic dye contaminants such as methylene blue (MB), methyl orange (MO), rodamine B (RhB), and brilliant green (BG).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
