The present invention relates to a method for controlling color composite lighting to improve the quality of a large area image. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling color composite lighting to improve the quality of a large area image comprises the following steps: (i) obtaining a digital image from a test image, and converting the digital image into a gray level image; (ii) correcting the brightness of the test image; (iii) selecting an image quality index; (iv) defining an evaluation function; (v) constructing simplex; (vi) replacing a worst point with a best point through a test point; (vii) controlling a composite light source generating device; and (viii) repeating the steps (i) to (vii). The method for controlling color composite lighting to improve the quality of a large area image according to the present invention can obtain a high-quality image for a test image.
