The present invention relates to a surfactant having short alkyl fluoride groups for preparing hybrid-type polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles, a method for preparing polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles by using the same, and polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles prepared by the same method. According to the present invention, by the method for preparing polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles by using the surfactant having short alkyl fluoride groups for preparing polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles, nanoparticles which have excellent thermal properties and have various molecular weights and particle diameters, can be prepared. The method of the present invention can be advantageously used to prepare the polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles which satisfy desired physical properties. According to the present invention, the surfactant having short alkyl fluoride groups for preparing polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles has short fluorine groups. Therefore, the surfactant has low content of fluorine, has a low degree of accumulation in a human body, has low toxicity, is eco-friendly, has economic efficiency, and can be used to prepare the polyvinylidene fluoride nanoparticles satisfying desired physical properties. As a molecular weight of a generated PVDF nanoparticle can be controlled in accordance with a length of an alkyl group, the surfactant of the present invention can be advantageously used as a surfactant for substituting an existing octanoate-based surfactant which has been used to prepare PVDF.
