The present invention relates to a pine nut waste extract and a composition for preventing or treating liver cancer containing the same as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a composition for preventing or treating liver cancer containing the pine nut waste extract, a pharmaceutical composition, a food composition, a functional health food, and a method for producing a pine nut waste fraction. The pine nut waste extract of the present invention does not have cytotoxicity, and excellently inhibits growth of liver cancer cell lines particularly among various cancer cell lines, thereby being effective in preventing or treating liver cancer.
