Disclosed are a system and method for simulating the linkage between Galvanic vestibular stimulation (GVS) and content using acceleration and angular acceleration. More specifically, the system of the present invention calculates relative acceleration caused by the difference between acceleration of an image and acceleration of a user movement and relative angular acceleration caused by angular acceleration of the image and angular acceleration of the user movement, and applies GVS to a head mounted display device (HMD) based on the calculated relative acceleration and relative angular acceleration. According to the present invention, the system for simulating linkage between GVS and content using acceleration and angular acceleration may eliminate dizziness factors effectively by determining the signal strength of the GVS in consideration of movements of an image and movements of a user.
