The present invention relates to a method for producing bio-polyurethane, which comprises the following steps: a first step for synthesizing a lignin-derived polyol liquefied by a liquefaction reaction of lignin and a first solvent under an acid catalyst; and a second step for synthesizing a polyurethane from the liquefied lignin-derived polyol through a polymerization reaction with a second solvent, and to a bio-polyurethane produced thereby. In the present invention, the bio-polyol is produced from lignin by using a butano-diol as a solvent derived from a bio-solvent in a solvent thermal liquefaction reaction, and the bio-polyurethane can be produced using produced bio-polyol, so that the use of raw materials derived from petroleum resources, which are conventionally materials of polyurethane, can be reduced.
