The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for alleviating atopic dermatitis comprising steam extracts of Chamaecyparis obtuse and Dendropanax morbiferus as active ingredients, wherein the cosmetic composition exhibits a significant atopic dermatitis-alleviating effect in skin application tests for atopic patients, so that the steam extracts of Chamaecyparis obtuse and Dendropanax morbiferus can be effectively used as the active ingredients of the cosmetic composition for alleviating the atopic dermatitis.
