The present invention relates to a user information management apparatus which is included in a PTT system to update user information in real time, and a method for updating user information in a PTT system in real time using the same. The user information management apparatus of the present invention comprises: a condition confirming unit for receiving a user information change signal notifying a change in user/group information from a command apparatus, and determining whether the user/group information is required to be changed; a recipient list generating unit for generating a recipient list for user terminals of a recipient who is to receive an update message on the basis of the user/group information to be changed when a change request signal for requesting the user/group information to be changed is received from the condition confirming unit; an update message generating unit for generating the update message to be transmitted to the user terminal corresponding to the recipient included in the recipient list received from the recipient list generating unit, and transmitting the same to a corresponding user terminal; and a user information transmitting unit for transmitting the changed user/group information to the corresponding user terminal when a changed information request signal is received from the user terminal.
