The present invention relates to a mutant strain of Streptomyces coelicolor, and a method of producing -agarase by using the same. The -agarase produced by the mutant strain of Streptomyces coelicolor according to the present invention has a significantly higher activity than that of -agarase produced by the mother strain of Streptomyces coelicolor. Accordingly, the mutant strain of Streptomyces coelicolor according to the present invention may be used to mass produce -agarase with extremely high activity, and the produced -agarase may be used to economically produce neoagaro-oligosaccharides with proven various functionalities, in particular, neoagarotetraose and neoagarohexaose, from agar or agarose.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
