The present invention relates to a backscatter dependent communications method for wireless power transmission and a backscatter dependent communications system therefor, wherein the backscatter dependent communications method transmits and receives information through carrier modulation with respect to a wireless signal of an industrial scientific medical (ISM) band used in an existing communications infrastructure such as a sensor node and Wi-Fi without an additional infrastructure, and monitors a state of the sensor node based on the information to perform wireless power supply. According to the present invention, a terminal device capable of communicating with a wireless access point (AP) of a previously constructed communications infrastructure transmits power and data for communications to the sensor node, and the sensor node can respond using backscattering through the carrier modulation of the wireless signal used between the terminal device and the wireless AP, so the sensor node is recognized through the terminal device to control the sensor node, and the wireless power is controlled to be supplied through the wireless AP with respect to the sensor node recognized through the terminal device.
