The present invention relates to a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin capable of diagnosing presence of diabetes and a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin by using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin comprising silica nano-particle-boronic acid in which a dye is encapsulated, and a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin by using the same. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) adding a blood sample to a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin, and hemolyzing and reacting the same, wherein the reagent composition includes (i) a hemolytic solution and (ii) silica nano-particle-boronic acid in which a dye is encapsulated and which is specifically bound with glycated hemoglobin; (b) administrating a reactant to an absorption pad of a cartridge, and washing the reactant by a washing liquid; (c) measuring optical reflection of the absorption pad by an optical device, and measuring the total amount of hemoglobin and glycated hemoglobin; and (d) calculating a ratio of glycated hemoglobin on the basis of the measured total amount of hemoglobin and glycated hemoglobin. According to the reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin of the present invention, since a dye is encapsulated in silica nano-particles, the unique absorption wavelength of the dye is not affected by pH, and stability is excellent despite long-term storage of one or more months.
