A method of treating a subject in need thereof, comprising administering an effective amount of a bromo domain inhibitor, wherein the effective amount is selected from the group consisting of: RTI ID = 0.0 0.0 CD11b, / RTI and the reactivity of NMC to the bromo domain inhibitor is monitored. Also disclosed herein is a method of determining a therapy for a bromo domain inhibitor in a subject suffering from NMC.
