The present invention provides a spool (2) which can execute a precise thumbing control operation on flange units thereof and bearing reels on both sides including the same. The spool (2) includes a wire winding body unit (11) and first and second flange units (12, 13). The first and second flange units (12, 13) individually include: inner walls (12a, 13a) formed on ends of the wire winding body unit (11); and outer peripheral surfaces (12b, 13b) extended in outward axial directions from the front ends of the inner walls (12a, 13a). The inner wall (12a) of the first flange unit (12) has a front end with the outer diameter exceeding that of the front end of the inner wall (13a) of the second flange unit (13). The outer peripheral surface (12b) of the first flange unit (12) and the inner wall (12a) of the first flange unit (12) are connected by a smooth curved surface (12d).
