A method for obtaining prosthetic data for a prosthesis, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and a personalized kinematic total knee arthroplasty (TKR) analysis computing device. Anatomical and pathological anatomical data are determined for the patient. Anatomical data include at least a coronary mechanical lateral femur angle and a patient-specific posterior hypogastric axis. Bone and cartilage ablation data are determined based on prosthetic data, anatomical data, and pathological anatomical data. In one example, a recommended three-dimensional total knee arthroplasty surgeon plan for the patient is output via a graphical interface. The recommended three-dimensional total knee replacement surgery plan includes bone and cartilage resection data to facilitate implantation of the prosthesis to the patient. In another example, one or more femur and tibial guides are formed based on a three-dimensional total knee arthroplasty plan, wherein the femur and tibial guides are patient specific.
