To improve restoration accuracy of symbols, the present invention provides a receiving device based on a correlation width of an underwater acoustic communication system in a differential phase shift keying way. The receiving device based on a correlation width of an underwater acoustic communication system in a differential phase shift keying way, which receives modulated signals spread and transmitted according to pseudo random noise sequences, in which a symbol corresponding to one bit data is preset, and restores bit data corresponding to each symbol through a phase difference between a pair of symbols consecutive in the modulated signal, comprises: a receiving processing unit which receives and filters the modulated signal and transmits a filtering signal; a delay unit which delays the filtering signal with a period corresponding to one symbol to transmit a delayed signal; a first correlation unit which mixes a target symbol of the filtering signal corresponding to the consecutive pair of symbols in the modulated signal and a reference symbol of the delayed signal to generate a first output signal; a second correlation unit which mixes a reversed symbol with a reversed waveform of the target symbol and the reference symbol to generate a second output signal; and a determination unit which extracts an output location of a main pick from the width between side picks of each of the output signals, compares the first output signal to the second output signal on the basis of the output value of the extracted main pick, and restores bit data of the target symbol.
