The present invention provides a method of producing a conductive mayenite compound capable of yielding sintered bodies having a relatively even surface. According to the present invention, the method of producing a conductive mayenite compound comprises the following processes of: (1) preparing calcined powder which contains calcium oxide and aluminum oxide in a ratio of 13 : 6 to 11 : 8 (molar ratios converted into CaO : Al_2O_3); and (2) keeping a target treatment body containing the calcined powder in the range of 1,220-1,380°C while being pressed by a pressure in the range of 1-2,000 kg/cm^2 and under an atmosphere containing at least one of a Ti member and a Ca source.
