The present invention relates to a hierarchical RAID′s parity generation system using pass-through GPU in a multiple virtual machine environment, in which parity of data requested to be written is generated and stored together with requested data. The system comprises a CPU; a pass-through GPU; a plurality of data nodes consisting of a plurality of storage media in which requested data and parity are stored; a master virtual machine for chunking the requested data with a plurality of data chunks so that the requested data is divided into N (N is a natural number) groups and generating and storing parity (hereinafter referred to as external parity) of the entire data chunk; and a slave virtual machine for generating parity (hereinafter referred to as internal parity) of data chunk belonging to one group and storing data chunk of corresponding group and the internal parity in one data node. According to the system, it is possible to reduce data copy overhead and perform high performance encoding by using multiple virtual machines.
