The present invention relates to a hydrocracking reaction catalyst for producing C_6-C_9 light aromatic hydrocarbons with an improved BTX content from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, a preparation method thereof, and a preparation method of C_6-C_9 light aromatic hydrocarbons with the improved BTX content using the same. More specifically, the hydrocracking reaction catalyst of the present invention can achieve an effect of obtaining the C_6-C_9 light aromatic hydrocarbons with the improved BTX content in a high yield from by-products of oil refining and petrochemical processes including the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons such as naphthalene, alkyl-naphthalene and the like by using a catalyst in which one or more metals selected from the Group VIII and one or more metals selected from Group VIB are supported on a composite zeolite support of zeolite beta and zeolite ZSM-5.
