The present invention relates to a global illumination processing method based on Ray Tracing and a global illumination processing apparatus for performing the same, the method comprising the steps of: (a) performing ray tracing on a specific pixel from a given light source to generate intaglio light shading; b) determining at least one indirect light source for indirect light shading with respect to the particular pixel; and (c) performing ray tracing on the specific pixel from the at least one indirect light source to generate indirect light shading .
