The present invention relates to a method for providing information for diagnosing laryngopharyngeal reflux and a method for preparing sample therefor, comprising the steps of: i) preparing a sample by a pre-saliva collection method; and ii) measuring pepsin content in the sample. The method for diagnosing laryngopharyngeal reflux of the present invention maximizes a concentration of pepsin in the collected saliva by controlling time and method of collecting the saliva to enable sensitive and selective detection.
