The present invention relates to a non-rare earth metal based red phosphor comprising a manganese activator, and the non-rare earth metal based red phosphor has basic chemical formula of (4_(-α-β-γ))MgO·αMgF_2·βA_MF_2·(2/3)γA_NF_3·(1-δ)GeO_2:δMn^(4+). In chemical formula, A_M is an element selected from the group consisting of Ca, Sr and Ba, or a mixture thereof, A_N is an element selected from the group consisting of Sc, Y and La, or a mixture thereof, α is 0 α = 1.5, β is 0 = α = 1.5, γ is 0 = γ = 1.5, δ is 0 δ = 0.2, and α, β and γ are α+β+γ = 2. The phosphor according to the present invention has advantages that light emission properties such as luminance are remarkably improved, and particularly luminance properties with respect to light in a wavelength range of 650 to 670 nm are innovatively improved.
