In an alkali metal thermal to electric convertor (AMTEC) using alkali metal as a carrier for electric charge, the present invention relates to the AMTEC with a receiver for detachably receiving a plurality of thermoelectric generation cells and a structure of the receiver. The present invention can simplify an assembly by assembling the thermoelectric generation cell in the receiver with a detachable method and easily maintain and repair the AMTEC. Also, the present invention can improve generation power and efficiency by efficiently transmitting external heat to the thermoelectric generation cell by improving the structure of the receiver which receives the thermoelectric generation cell.
