Bidirectional Solid State Transformer for Smart Grid

The present invention relates to a bidirectional semiconductor transformer for a smart grid. According to the present invention, instead of an existing semiconductor transformer using an inverter method, a semiconductor transformer using a QZS AC-AC converter is designed to perform equivalent performance. Direct power conversion to a DVR, an ESS and a UPS is also possible through the QZS AC-AC converter connected in series to a distribution system.
