The present invention relates to a composition for improving intestinal health containing an Enterococcus faecalis 4-T-2-25 strain (accession number: KACC 92130) as an active ingredient. The present invention further relates to a production method thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for improving intestinal health, and a production method thereof. By using the composition of the present invention, proliferation of lactic acid bacteria can be promoted while suppressing harmful bacteria. In addition, the composition ensures smooth bowel activities and also satisfies daily recommended amounts for lactic acid bacteria even if ingesting the processed meat products less than 100 g.
