Methods and compositions for immuno-protection against over-the-pathogenic E. coli

Compositions and methods for providing immunoprotection against diseases associated with ExPEC by inducing an immune response to an over-the-pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC) are described. In particular, E. coli polysaccharides covalently bound to the detoxified exotoxin A (EPA) carrier protein of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa as a vaccine for the prevention of invasive ExPEC disease caused by ExPEC serotypes O1A, O2, O6A and O25B Compositions and methods for using conjugates of antigens O25B, O1A, O2 and O6A are described.
