Infrastructure Electronic equipment includes infrastructure local site transport (LST). The LST typically carries the payload sampled signal through an incomplete electromagnetic (EM) path with physical properties that are not known when equipment (eg, a camera, display, set-top box) is manufactured. Conventional LSTs are prepared for EM path degradation in a number of ways: lowering quality through compression (e.g., Ethernet) to provide high quality cables (e.g., HDMI) and / or somewhat extended transmission distances. The present invention utilizes legacy infrastructure and reduces costs to obtain a fidelity preference ratio for transmission distance so that physical errors necessarily resulting from the propagation of sensory payloads through incomplete EM paths appear perceptually unimpeded It is the infrastructure LST for the sampled signal.
