The main object of the present invention is to provide a method for automatically verifying whether there is inconsistency between a 3D model of a plant layout and a 2D ISO drawing thereof converted for a field worker. The method for automatically verifying inconsistency between a 3D model and a 2D ISO drawing according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps: extracting a cut-length value for each piping object inserted in the drawing through a constant data query from a system that creates the 3D model; extracting a cut-length value for each piping object inserted in the drawing from a specific data file generated in the process of converting the 3D model to the 2D ISO drawing in the system; arranging the cut-length value for each piping object extracted from the 3D model and the cut-length value for each piping object extracted from the 2D ISO drawing in a predetermined order; comparing the cut-length value of the 3D model and the cut-length value of the 2D ISO drawing, which are arranged in the predetermined order, sequentially from the beginning to determine whether there is inconsistency; and determining that the 3D model has been changed if it is determined that the cut-length values of at least one piping object are mismatched.
