The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing mesenchymal stem cells for increasing regeneration of hepatocytes and a composition for treating liver cirrhosis using the same. A cytokine cocktail according to the present invention contains VEGF, bFGF, EGF and IGF as active ingredients. When the cytokine cocktail containing the above ingredients is applied to a culture of mesenchymal stem cells, the proliferative capacity of the mesenchymal stem cells, the engraftment rate in the liver tissue, and the expression of HGF are increased, and thus an effect of inhibiting hepatic fibrosis is confirmed to be remarkably alleviated. Therefore, the present invention can be utilized as an effective substance which can replace conventional therapeutic agents for liver diseases.
