The present invention relates to a method for measuring a deterioration degree of a high-hardness coating layer due to external stress and an apparatus therefor, wherein the method comprising: a step of preparing a high-hardness coated product having the high-hardness coating layer formed on the surface of a base material; a step of locally applying the external stress to the high-hardness coating layer to deteriorate the high-hardness coating layer; and a step of measuring a current or resistance value with respect to the deterioration degree of the high-hardness coating layer in order to measure the deterioration degree of the high-hardness coating layer to obtain deterioration data.
