The part-handling apparatus serves to take out parts from the structured parts inventory and to store the taken-out parts in the receiving apparatus. When handling parts, in order to meet the accuracy requirements, the receiving device must be newly regulated before the first operation, after the relocation of the component devices, or after the maintenance of the operation. To this end, the part-handling apparatus is provided with a self-regulating device which allows the device to be adjusted efficiently and with high accuracy in terms of time, without manual adjustment by the operator. In this specification, the self-regulating device is composed of a plurality of optical sensors and a controller. A high degree of process reliability is achieved by adjusting the measurement results obtained using the optical sensor using the position sensor and the characteristic sensor which are mounted for component inspection during the original manufacture and at the same time the device parts are inspected for damage .
