The present invention relates to a dobutamine-loaded poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticle, and a composition for preventing or treating cancer comprising the same. According to the present invention, the dobutamine-loaded PLGA nanoparticle remarkably improves solubility and dispersibility for water-based solvents by having a nano-emulsion form, and also shows excellent delivery efficiency selective to cancer cells. In addition, the PLGA nanoparticle can be useful as a novel treatment agent for anti-cancer agent-resistant intractable cancer which has no obvious treatment methods while expanding new application of dobutamine used as a cardiovascular treatment agent.
