The present invention relates to a functional health food composition for alleviating anorexia and a method for alleviating anorexia using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for alleviating anorexia, comprising Atractylodis rhizoma alba, Angelica gigas, Astragalus membranaceus, Lonicera japonica, Taraxacum platycarpum, Prunella vulgaris, and the like; a method for alleviating anorexia using the same; a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating anorexia; and a co-administration preparation having alleviated side effects of anticancer agents. According to the present invention, the functional health food composition for alleviating anorexia increases the food intake by increasing reduced appetite, increases the body weight by preventing body weight loss, and in particular, shows an excellent effect of alleviating reduced appetite due to side effects of an anticancer agent.
