According to one embodiment of the present invention, a photonic switching system may comprise a main controller and one or more photonic frame wrapper line cards. As the main controller assigns a timeslot to the photonic frame wrapper line card, the main controller can determine when a photonic frame should be transmitted by the photonic frame wrapper line card. When the photonic switching system includes the plurality of photonic frame wrapper line cards, time points, at which the plurality of photonic frame wrapper line cards transmit photonic frames, can be synchronized with each other. Particularly, when some of the plurality of photonic frame wrapper line cards transmit a plurality of photonic frames having different destinations, time points, at which all of the plurality of photonic frame wrapper line cards transmit the photonic frames, can be adjusted in consideration of the delay caused by the change of the destinations.
