The present invention relates to an external diagnostor and a module status changing device for a battery module. More specifically, the present invention relates to a device which is operated by receiving a power supply from a battery module through a connector connection with the battery module, can change a diagnosis reference value in which a battery management system (BMS) diagnoses a battery according to a need of a user, and changes a setting value of the BMS to change a use of the battery module. The device comprises: a connection part; a communication part; a control part; a diagnosis part; a memory part; and a change data input part.
