There is provided a drinking cup including a receptacle having an open end and a lid assembly configured to releasably engage the receptacle on the open end. The lid assembly wall has an inner surface and an inner ring extending radially inwardly therefrom. The inner ring defines a plurality of fluid passages. The sealing assembly is configured to be held by the inner ring, and the sealing assembly is resiliently deformable between the sealed configuration and the non-sealed configuration. In the sealed configuration, the top lip is sealingly engaged with the interior surface, and fluid is prevented from flowing through the lid assembly volume defined between the lid assembly and the sealing assembly. In an open configuration, the fluid is allowed to flow between the receptacle, through the plurality of fluid passages, and between a corresponding portion of the sealing surface and a gap defined by a portion of the sealing lip.
