The present invention relates to an ethyl acetate fraction of a Salicornia SPP. water-extract and, more specifically, to an ethyl acetate fraction of a Salicornia SPP. water-extract containing isorhamnetin having the capability of preventing or treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. According to the present invention, isorhamnetin derived from Salicornia SPP. not only inhibits protein expression of iNOS and COX-2, which are representative inflammation markers in a liver cell, in a concentration-dependent manner but also increases enzymes (GL, GCL) for synthesizing glutathione by activating Nrf2 as a representative cell protection transcription factor, resisting to oxidation stress. Accordingly, isorhamnetin derived from Salicornia SPP can be used to prevent or treat non-alcoholic fatty liver disease such as liver inflammation, liver fibrosis, and liver cirrhosis.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
