The present invention relates to a composition comprising bark or cortex powder of Ulmus davidiana, which promotes the formation of keratinocytes in cell lines and animal models, proliferates epidermal and dermal tissues, increases collagen synthesis in the dermis, and shows high efficiency in water absorption ability to absorb exudate of a wound, thereby being usefully used for wound healing and skin regeneration.
