Disclosed are an in-band full-duplex transmission and reception apparatus using a polarized antenna based on mutual coupling, an operating method thereof, and an antenna. In the antenna for the transmission and reception apparatus using a plurality of antennas, included are an active antenna which is connected to an RF-chain to transmit a signal stream, transmits a transmission signal to a parasitic antenna through coupling, and receives a reception signal from the parasitic antenna using a polarization characteristic which is different from a polarization characteristic used when transmitting the transmission signal, and the parasitic antenna which is connected to an impedance control unit to generate a beam pattern for the reception signal and a beam pattern which is beam-formed using the transmission signal to transmit the transmission signal through the active antenna. Accordingly, the present invention can transmit and receive the signal stream at the same time and reduce the implementation complexity of a transmitter structure.
