The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating a metabolic syndrome comprising a 2-monoacylglycerol breakdown enzyme. The composition completely decomposes triglyceride into fatty acids and glycerol in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby delaying the fat absorption and reducing the blood absorption of triglycerides. In addition, when the monoacylglycerol lipase is decomposed into monoacylglycerol lipase in the gastrointestinal tract, the composition can be used to delay the triglyceride recombination in digestive epithelial cells or to accelerate the energy consumption, thereby being utilized as preventing or treating agent for hepatic steatosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver, hyperlipidemia, type-2 diabetes and/or obesity.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
