The present invention relates to a composition for detecting sodium ions in tears using a nuclease and a method for detecting sodium ions using the composition. By using a nuclease specific to sodium ions and a nuclease having peroxidase activity, sodium ions can be detected even with a small amount of tears, thereby measuring osmotic pressure and further diagnosing dry eye syndrome.
