The present invention relates to a PIR motion detecting sensor (30) employing a detection area adjusting unit (1) consisting of a Fresnel lens (2), a signal amplifying portion (4), a motion determining portion (5) and a lens window (6) through a PIR sensor (3) to freely adjust a detection area. For example, the motion detecting sensor can be applied to a safety sensor and an upper sensor for an automatic door system including a screen door. The present invention relates to a PIR safety sensor (7), wherein when a door (12) of the automatic door is closed, if the motion of an animal, a person or an object is detected in an area where the door (12) moves in a state in which the door (12) is not completely closed, or a safety sensor detecting area (17) which can detect a danger if the door moves, the motion is detected and informed to an automatic door controller (18), and an automatic door system including the same. Since the PIR sensor (3) is used, it does not malfunction even under sunlight or illumination light, and the wide detecting area can be detected to safely operate the automatic door. Also, it can be integrally manufactured to be easily installed and maintained. Since the safety sensor detecting area (17) can be freely adjusted by the detection area adjusting unit (1) having the lens windows (6), it can be customized depending upon various locations. The advantages of the safety sensor can be applied to the upper sensor intact.
